TCF Canada is accepted by IRCC for permanent residence and Canadian citizenship applications. Its listening and reading sections are adaptive multiple choice, which punishes guessing, while the writing and speaking sections are graded against clear descriptors. Our program trains both halves separately because they reward completely different habits.
In our experience most TCF points are lost to timing, not vocabulary. Candidates re-read the listening options instead of predicting them, or write a task 3 essay with no visible structure. Lessons drill the process — read the question first, plan for two minutes, write to a template — until it holds up under exam pressure.
Each TCF section is reported on a scale that maps to an NCLC level. Your tutor tracks each mock result on that scale so you can see whether you are safely above the threshold you need or sitting one point below it, and plan your test date accordingly.

Both are IRCC-accepted French tests. TCF Canada leans on multiple-choice precision in listening and reading, while TEF Canada places more weight on argued speaking and writing. We recommend one after reviewing a sample of your French.
Two live lessons per week plus independent practice is the pattern that works for most candidates. Intensive schedules of three to four lessons per week are available when a test date is close.
